Information ShortMusic processes
ShortMusic creates a device-linked account so the app can maintain credits, generated tracks, library activity, and purchases without requiring sign-in. The service processes a device identifier and authentication credentials. Authentication credentials are stored in the iOS Keychain.
When you edit a creator profile, ShortMusic may process a display name, creator handle, and profile image. When you create or publish music, the service processes prompts, selected creation options, generated media, titles, captions, hashtags, and publication state.
Listening and interaction data
The service processes feed impressions, playback starts and progress, completed plays, skips, daily views, likes, saves, shares, and creator follows to operate playback, maintain your library, and shape feed experiences.
Reports and blocks
When you report a track or a creator, the service processes the report, the reason and any details you add, and your account identifier so moderators can review it. Reports are not shown to the person reported. When you block a creator, the service stores the block to keep their music out of your feed and search.
Purchases
Purchases are handled by Apple and RevenueCat. ShortMusic processes product and purchase-validation information needed to grant credits or subscription benefits. ShortMusic does not receive your full payment-card details.
Device features
The app can access photos you explicitly choose through the system photo picker for a profile image. It may request notification permission when a music generation starts so it can notify you when the result is ready. Audio can continue in the background and appear in system media controls.
How information is used
- Operate device authentication, generation, playback, discovery, profile, and library features.
- Complete purchases and maintain credit balances.
- Protect the service, diagnose failures, and improve reliability.
- Respond to support, privacy, and deletion requests.
Sharing
Information is shared only with service providers needed to run ShortMusic, including hosting, storage, music-generation, delivery, and purchase infrastructure. Public tracks, captions, creator names, handles, and interaction counts are visible to other users when you publish them.
Retention and deletion
Information is retained while needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and prevent abuse. To request deletion of the device-linked account and associated personal data, follow the instructions on the account deletion page.
Security and international processing
ShortMusic uses technical safeguards appropriate to the service. Information may be processed where our infrastructure and service providers operate, subject to applicable safeguards.
Children
ShortMusic is not directed to children under the minimum age required to consent to data processing in their region.
Changes
Material updates will be published on this page with a new effective date.
