Delete your ShortMusic account
This page explains how to delete your account in the ShortMusic app (ShortMusic: AI Song Maker) on the App Store and Google Play, and the data associated with it. ShortMusic uses a device-linked account without email sign-in, so the request is matched to the device you use the app on.
Request deletion from the app
The steps are the same on iPhone, iPad and Android:
- Open ShortMusic on the device that has the account.
- Go to Profile, tap ••• (Settings), then Contact Support.
- Keep the subject and write “Delete my account and data”. Sending from the app lets us identify the device-linked account.
- We confirm receipt within 2 business days and may ask for information shown in the app (such as your creator handle) to verify that the account is yours.
Request deletion without the app
If you no longer have the app, email tuyetnt6134@icloud.com with the subject “Delete my ShortMusic account” and your creator handle or the title of a track you published.
What is deleted
Within 30 days of verifying the request, we delete or de-identify:
- the device-linked account, its identifiers and sign-in credentials;
- your profile: display name, creator handle and profile image;
- music you created, your prompts and creation options, and the audio files;
- tracks you published, with their titles, captions and hashtags, which are removed from the feed;
- your library, likes, saves, follows, blocks, listening history and search history;
- your remaining credit balance, which cannot be restored or refunded after deletion.
What is kept, and for how long
- Purchase and transaction records: kept for as long as tax and accounting law requires.
- Reports and enforcement records (for example, a record that content was removed for a Terms violation): kept for up to 12 months to prevent abuse.
- Backups: deleted data remaining in encrypted backups is overwritten within a further 30 days.
- Copies of published tracks that other people already saved to their devices or shared outside ShortMusic are beyond our control.
Subscriptions
Deleting your ShortMusic account does not cancel a subscription. Cancel it first, in Settings → your name → Subscriptions on iPhone or iPad, or in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions on Android.
Deleting only some data
You can make tracks private or delete them from your library in the app at any time. To delete other specific data without closing your account, email tuyetnt6134@icloud.com and tell us what to remove. See the Privacy Policy for more.
