Copyright & Takedown Policy
Effective: September 15, 2026
To request removal of content that infringes your copyright, email tuyetnt6134@icloud.com with the subject “Copyright Takedown Notice”. We review notices within 24 hours.
Our policy
ShortMusic respects the intellectual-property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. Our Terms of Use prohibit publishing music, lyrics, recordings, or voices you do not have the right to use. We respond to notices of alleged infringement in line with the U.S. Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and similar laws in other countries.
Reporting from the app
Anyone can tap the ••• button on a track, choose Report Track, and select Copyright infringement. For a formal takedown request, send the notice below by email as well.
Sending a takedown notice
Email tuyetnt6134@icloud.com. To be effective, your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf;
- identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed (for example, the song title and artist, or a link to the original);
- identification of the infringing content on ShortMusic, with enough detail for us to find it — the track title and creator handle, or a share link;
- your contact information: name, postal address, telephone number, and email address;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
- a statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf.
Knowingly misrepresenting that content is infringing may make you liable for damages. If you are not sure whether content infringes your rights, consider seeking legal advice first.
What happens next
When we receive a complete notice, we remove or disable access to the content, usually within 24 hours, and let the user who published it know where we are able to reach them. We may contact you if the notice is incomplete.
Counter-notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, or that you have the right to use it, you may send a counter-notice to tuyetnt6134@icloud.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the content that was removed and where it appeared before removal;
- a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the content was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address, telephone number, and email address, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district in which ShortMusic may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We may forward your counter-notice to the person who filed the original notice. Unless they tell us they have filed a court action, we may restore the content in 10 to 14 business days.
Repeat infringers
ShortMusic terminates, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of users who repeatedly infringe the rights of others.
Other complaints
